CANADA’S WONDERLAND | 09.22.2024

11:30 AM

Entered Park | 0-Minute Wait

Canada’s Wonderland’s updated security setup now directs guests right under Leviathan’s massive hammerhead turn, immediately setting the tone for a day packed with thrills. Entry today was quick and efficient, getting me through the gates and ready for adventure without any hassle.

Checking Out The AlpenFury Preview

Near the park entrance on International Street, Canada’s Wonderland has set up an impressive preview display for their upcoming coaster, AlpenFury, slated to debut in 2025. Two large screens, showcasing an animation of the ride’s layout, bookend a mountain structure that proudly displays the coaster’s logo. It’s a substantial and eye-catching setup, giving guests an exciting glimpse of what’s to come.

12:00 PM

Behemoth | 15-Minute Wait

I hopped in line for Behemoth and was glad to find that it only had a 15-minute wait. I snagged Row 8, and while the ride had a bit of a rattle, it wasn’t uncomfortable. The coaster delivered some decent floater airtime for the most part, but the mid-course brake run hit pretty hard, killing the momentum from that point onward. Still, it provided a solid ride and set a good pace for the day.

12:35 PM

Yukon Striker | 15-Minute Wait

I headed over to Yukon Striker and, after a short 15-minute wait, found myself in the middle of Row 2. The first half of the ride continues to deliver with smooth, powerful G-forces and some great floater airtime. But, as usual, the second half killed all the momentum. Still, Yukon Striker holds its title as the best B&M dive coaster in North America for me.

12:50 PM

Goldrush Junction | Drink Pass Redemption

I swung by Goldrush Junction to grab a quick drink using my All-Season Drink Pass. Since I went with the bottle-free version, all I had to do was scan my pass and fill up with a refreshing Coke Zero. It's super convenient, especially when you’re making the most of a day at the park.

2:05 PM

+1 | Snoopy's Racing Railway | 60-Minute Wait

I joined the 60-minute line for Snoopy’s Racing Railway, the park’s newest family coaster. Previously, adults needed a child to ride, but luckily, the park has relaxed that rule, allowing childless adults like me to snag this credit. The ride itself was smooth, with some mild launches, though the animatronics were hit-or-miss. That said, you zip by them so quickly it doesn’t really affect the experience. Overall, it’s a cute addition to the park and a fun credit to add to my collection!

2:30 PM

I-Street Hot Dogs | Drink Pass Redemption

After the long 60-minute wait for Snoopy’s Racing Railway, I was definitely feeling thirsty. So, I headed over to I-Street Hot Dogs for a quick refresh using my All-Season Drink Pass. Another easy scan of the pass, and I was set with a much-needed Coke Zero to cool down and recharge before heading to lunch.

Exiting the Park

We all know amusement parks love to charge premium prices for food and drinks, and Canada’s Wonderland is no exception. To avoid overspending, I often choose to eat off-site, which not only saves money but gives me a chance to sit down and recharge. Luckily, the park has plenty of dining options within walking distance, making it easy to step out for a quick, affordable meal before heading back for more fun.

2:40 PM

Lunch | St. Louis Bar & Grill

For lunch, I decided to head over to St. Louis Bar & Grill, just a short walk from the entrance. I went with the Garlic Dill Chicken Sandwich, which hit the spot with just the right amount of heat, and the fries were perfectly portioned. The meal came out quickly—around 10 minutes after ordering—and was a satisfying break from the park. Plus, it was a nice way to save some money without sacrificing quality. After tax and tip, the total came to $18.70 USD, which felt like a good deal!

3:30 PM

Re-Entered Park | 0-Minute Wait

With lunch fueling me up, I headed back to the park, and the re-entry process was just as smooth as this morning—zero wait time at the gates.

4:25 PM

Leviathan | 45-Minute Wait

After lunch, I was ready to conquer the tallest ride in the park—Leviathan. After a 45-minute wait, I snagged the back row, right-most seat. The ride was smooth, but I’ve had faster, more intense runs on it before. Still, that massive drop and insane speed never fail to deliver a rush.

Leviathan Refresh Centre | Drink Plan Redemption

After tackling Leviathan, I made a quick stop at the Leviathan Refresh Centre to redeem another drink with my All-Season Drink Pass.

5:10 PM

By this point, every major coaster had a 45-minute plus wait, so I went to Mighty Canadian Minebuster as a courtesy since the line was only 15 minutes—this coaster is not exactly a fan favorite. The ride was as rough as I expected, especially that brutal helix at the end. Honestly, it’s time to reconsider this coasters future at Canada's Wonderland.

5:25 PM

Exited the Park

After enduring Mighty Canadian Minebuster, I decided to call it a day and headed for the exit. The park was still buzzing with long lines for most of the major coasters, so it felt like a good time to wrap things up and get a jump on the drive home. All in all, it was a fun day packed with great rides, solid food, and plenty of drink refills to keep me going.
